Since 1991, ASHA has represented the interests of companies involved in housing and services for seniors, such as memory care, assisted living, and independent living. The organization also provides resources for senior citizens looking for their next housing option through a website called Where You Live Matters (www.whereyoulivematters.org).
ASHA members benefit from many services and perks, such as peer-to-peer insight when they meet with others in the industry through membership meetings and other networking opportunities. Members also benefit from ASHA research, which is hosted online and shared through issue briefs. Additionally, the association advocates on behalf of members when it educates policymakers about the industry.
There are three types of membership: executive board, advisory committee, and associate. Learn more about all three by visiting http://www.seniorshousing.org.
