Serving as president and CFO of New Perspective Senior Living for the past decade, Ryan Novaczyk has led a Minnesota-headquartered company that maintains 22 communities across the Midwest. A 2017 Business Times article entitled “Beauty, Bistros, and Bars” drew attention to the wide range of amenities Ryan Novaczyk’s company offers to seniors living at its facilities.
Opened in 2016, the 135-bed Brown Deer senior living facility incorporates a library, billiards table, and Starbucks, as well as a pub that provides two free drinks to residents each day. The layout follows one common to New Perspective communities, with nearly one half of the square footage of buildings reserved for common space.
As Mr. Novaczyk describes it, the underlying aim is to “get people out of their rooms” and socializing with others, in ways that amplify a sense of intention and purpose in their lives. With each project undertaken, feedback is considered and pathways sought out that further enhance senior residential lifestyles.
